“Over Labor Day week-end 2011, just one week after hurricane Irene struck us (yikes); we had a several hour outdoor rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, including a 40 year wedding vow renewal, catered with heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer for 60. The following day we had an outdoor garden wedding with live musicians under a special personally constructed pergola with a specially designed and crafted metal medallion sculpture, followed by a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer; while the wedding party was taken to Lake George for photos. Then, a tented catered BBQ reception for 175 with live dance music, specialized lighting, a special family dance performance, open bar with signature cocktails, a special collection of personalized cupcakes and grooms cake, personalized hand crafted centerpieces, shimmering table decorations and a truly unique seating chart. We also had valet parking on the property and an elegant restroom trailer with all the amenities. In addition to both events being held at my home, all of the bridesmaids, the mother-of-the-bride and the bride prepared themselves there as well, including hair and makeup. We all began over a year ahead of time, with a fun adventure to Boston for “the Running of the Brides” event to find a wedding dress for the bride. Julie, Danielle and I worked so well together, with the most important mission being to have minimal stress on my family, making a truly memorable event come to life, with only fond memories to look back on. My greatest joy was to have that happen. Julie was a pleasure to work with throughout, with her attention to detail and creativity. The arrival of her business partner, Judy was perfect, as they made sure all of our best laid plans were achieved without a hitch throughout the 2 days of the events at my home.
